Kara, an acute care nurse practitioner with six years of prior med/surg and surgery nursing experience.
Kara earned her Associate’s Degree in nursing from Clark State Community College, her Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University in Arizona, and her Master’s Degree in nursing from Walden University in Minnesota. Kara began her career in nursing with Mercy HealthSpring field in 2014 as an RN in the Medical Surgery/ ICU Step down unit. In 2015, Kara joined the Springfield
Regional Medical Center surgery team, including first assists in all cases including complex general and robotic surgery. She was also a member of the Open Heart Team and served as a preceptor for new orientees. A native of Springfield and graduate of Graham High School, Kara currently resides in Dublin with her husband and children. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling as much as possible.
