Biography
Dr. Maendel received his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in Ithaca New York and completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. He completed a residency in General Surgery at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Dr. Maendel has spent the last 2 years working as a general and trauma surgeon in Canton, Ohio at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Maendel grew up in Upstate New York. After college he moved to northern Ohio and now resides locally in Springfield with his wife and young daughter. He is happy to be joining a great group of surgeons and staff here at Springfield Regional Medical Center. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and practicing landscape photography.
